Reception/administrative Assistant

The administrative assistant reports to the senior adjusters. This role will focus on creating and managing claim files in addition to supporting the day-to-day organization and coordination of office activities.
**Responsibility**
- Conduct initial review of claim and prepare file for input into claim system including fees, time & expenses and correspondence to insurance companies
- Format & assemble reports for claims
- Update Excel reports for claim distribution to Insurers
- Provide backup support to other Administrative Assistants
- Undertake general office duties (filing, ordering office supplies, courier etc.)
- Assisting adjusters with preparation and travel arrangements
**Key Qualifications**
- Degree or diploma in office administration
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a related clerical/administrative position
- Previous experience working in the insurance industry is an asset
- Excellent computer and keyboarding skills including a high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe
- Demonstrated experience in document preparation from various sources
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Highly organized and motivated with superior verbal and written communication skills and effective interpersonal relationships
- Exceptional time management and multitasking skills, including ability to prioritize deadlines with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work independently and also contribute to a strong team environment
- Bilingual is an asset
Salary dependent on qualifications. Part time position with possibility of fulltime work.

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour
