- **Job Description**_

The HR Generalist will be responsible for providing advice and support including but not limited to talent acquisition, corporate communication, training, and maintenance of employee records.
- **Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:_
- Create, implement and administer employee policies, processes, procedures, and promote positive employee relations
- Manage and monitor performance-related issues and implement changes that could increase productivity
- Work towards improving company policies and procedures
- Handle termination-related matters and prepare termination and severance letters
- Provide training and support to other team members of the human resources department and management on HR-related matters
- Be well-versed in laws and regulations for provinces across Canada
- Creating powerpoints, employee documents and templates, and gathering and analyzing information for HR-related items
- First point of contact for employees with inquiries pertaining to payroll, benefits and pension, recruitment, onboarding, HR policies & procedures, etc. Identifies and escalates complex inquiries or cases as needed
- Create reporting and analytics for HR services and KPIs such as: turnover, recruitment, performance reviews, employee experience survey, training and compensation
- Able to recommend solutions to efficient day-to-day processes/procedures from internal HR stakeholders as required
- Executing new employee orientation and conducting exit interviews; employee work cycle from start to finish
- Maintenance of employee records and data, updating of all documents as necessary
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned on an ad hoc basis to adjust with growing environment
- **Qualifications**:_
- Knowledge and expertise in HR policies and procedures
- Excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Understanding and awareness of cultural differences and diversity dynamics in the workplace
- Detailed individual who is a quick learner that can work under pressure to meet deadlines
- You are self-driven and excel in both an independent and team environment without constant supervision
- Ability to understand and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Demonstrates thoroughness and monitors works to ensure compliance with government regulations and quality results
- Adaptable to changes in the work environment; being able to manage time and competing priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft and Google Suite
- **Education & Experience**:_
- Post-secondary diploma or Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in business (with HR major) or psychology)
- 3+ years experience in HR
- Workings towards CPHR designation is considered an asset
- **Bonus if you have worked in wholesale, construction, and manufacturing industries; or have experience in growing companies
