**About the Role**

Optm is seeking a full-time driven and self-motivated Business Development Representative (“BDR”) who is eager to kick-start or advance their sales career in the technology industry. This role will work under the support of a world class sales process and team, with coaching and training to help build the foundation for a successful career in sales. The BDR is responsible for supporting and partnering with their Account Executives (“AE”) to book qualified meetings that convert into opportunities. The BDR will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and outreaching to prospects within Fortune 2000 companies. Responsibilities
- Identify target accounts and prospects and effectively pitch Optm to book discovery meetings with qualified prospects that fit our ideal customer persona;
- Conduct thorough research into prospect accounts, showcasing your understanding of their business and areas of opportunity where Optm can potentially assist;
- Create and execute thoughtful and targeted research and outreach into prospects tailoring messaging, and effectively performing initial qualification by identifying pain points and/or initiatives that align with Optm’s core value proposition;
- Collaborate with Optm’s marketing team to qualify and convert leads into opportunities;
- Utilize sales processes, systems, tools and resources (HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator and other selling tools) to improve BDR productivity; and
- Participate in ongoing enablement, coaching, and sales training.

**Skills and Experience**
- 1 year+ in an BDR or Sales Development Representative (“SDR”) role (experience cold-calling and prospecting) is preferred, but not essential;
- Experience with HubSpot, Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, BANT, ANUM and/or MEDDPIC is not required, but a huge plus;
- You are passionate about meeting and exceeding targets every single day, and you understand that your output reflects on your success;
- Provable growth mindset; keen to learn and grow in everything you do, every day;
- Ability to think outside of the box - bringing fresh ideas, strategies and tools to the table in order to maximize the team’s performance;
- Time management and organization skills around metrics. Being able to manage time effectively, prioritize, work independently and be self-motivated to generate pipeline;
- Results-driven and able to effectively overcome objections;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required; skills in French or other languages are desirable;
- Positive - with you, the grass is always greener; the glass is half full. And if it all goes wrong, you are motivated to put it right;
- Strong interpersonal skills are key to success in this role; strong personal accountability;
- Tech-savvy - comfortable picking up new tools on-the-fly; and
