**Overview**
World-class B2B companies gain crucial advantage by using dedicated Lead Generation teams. A central role within Lead Generation teams is the Lead Development Representative (LDR). This person provides a human touch and owns the responsibility of engaging and nurturing leads until they are qualified sufficiently to pass to Sales for active selling.
LDRs enable companies to “connect” with early-stage prospects who do not want to be “sold,” but instead want to investigate solutions to business challenges in a no-pressure, learning-centric fashion.
**Opportunity Description**
The objective of the LDR is twofold. Ideally it is to develop warm leads so they are better prepared to speak with Sales and move through the sales process. Secondly, if the contact we are speaking with doesn’t not have a Buyers Persona, then the LDR will use the current contact as a reference and resource to Map the Organization and bring in the right decision makers. LDRs fill a vital role of nurturing prospects over time, building trust and rapport that result in a Qualified Opportunity. Interaction with the prospect involves nurturing activities where resources and education materials are offered. This results in a trusting interaction that enables the person’s “early stage” buying process. Throughout these interactions, the LDR records detailed notes in the CRM and finds opportunities to ask qualifying questions. Once the prospect is qualified and the timing is ideal, the LDR introduces sales personnel to the prospect. The LDR will also be responsible for contributing to the BANT Qualification of the Lead.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure our contact is within the group of decision makers we need to speak with.
- Ensure we have mapped those contacts and understand who the eventual Buyer is and who are the Influencers.
- Build rapport with prospects and move them through the middle of our nurturing process.
- Be coachable to internalize best practices and act on coaching advice.
- Understand the customer's environment and introduce new concepts to solve the customer's problems.
- Identify and qualify new opportunities for Lytica.
- Maintain forecasts and reports forecast to manager.
- Enter pertinent prospect information into CRM. Updates and expands as interactions occur.
- Enhance your product knowledge through regularly scheduled training sessions.
- Support marketing campaigns and promotional offers to help optimize revenue.
- Have knowledge of and comply with Lytica’s Lead Development processes. Recommend changes when appropriate.
**Competency/Skill Requirements**
- Strong phone, prospecting, sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with the sales teams they support; become a valued member of that sales team.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to maximize efficiency.
- Effective listener to understand prospect needs.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivated and results driven.
- Industry knowledge a plus.
**Education and Experience**
- 2-5 years previous business experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Business development: Cold calling, and/or sales experience in a complex sale
