**Your opportunity**:
Working with a dynamic team and under the general direction of the Director, Community Engagement & International Student Experience, you will be dedicated to the enrichment of the co-curricular life of the campus, focused on supporting international students’ transition into, through and out of UTSC.

As the Coordinator, International Student Programs, you will assume primary responsibility for the development and delivery of programs and supports that enhance the transition experience of international students to Canada, UTSC, and the City of Toronto, and prepare them for success in university and the community. You will achieve this through the conception, implementation and delivery of multi-modal programs that reflect the programmatic cornerstones of peer mentorship, engagement, student learning & development. The Coordinator, International Student Programs considers the holistic experience and identities of international students, and creates programming to support students from Acceptance of Offer to convocation and beyond.

Your work will involve extensive partnerships building community and advocating for international students, working closely with the other positions within the Office of Student Experience and Wellbeing such as the First Year Programs Coordinator, Intercultural Education Program Coordinator, and Orientation Coordinator, as well as other campus and tri-campus partners such as academic departments and the various Co-op programs, St. George’s Centre for International Experience and UTM’s International Education Centre. Your work will be informed by relevant student development and international education research, anti-oppression and intercultural theory, and will consult with a broad range of student groups and student services.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Planning and implementing components of curricular and/or co-curricular programs and activities
- Planning and overseeing the implementation of an evaluation framework for programs and initiatives
- Conducting detailed analysis on program efficiency and student learning outcomes to inform program planning activities
- Facilitating educational workshops and seminars
- Advising students on co-curricular, academic and personal matters by providing options and consequences incorporating personal circumstances impacting academic success and an understanding of an individual's background
- Developing content for marketing and/or promotional materials
- Developing strategies that maximize outreach to students

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum four (4) years related experience in student development/international student support at the post-secondary level
- Direct experience planning and implementing new and existing co-curricular programs for international students
- Experience assessing/evaluating co-curricular programs
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and comfortable with presenting to groups
- Solid interpersonal, intercultural and customer service skills, including the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters
- Ability to deal with competing/simultaneous deadlines and unpredictable assignments
- Demonstrated knowledge of customer service and information communication standards of practice in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
- Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as student information systems (i.e. ROSI), including web-based interfaces and databases
