What you’ll be doing

As the Lead Record Retention Coordinator (Lead RRC) for Human Resources (HR) in Canada, you will provide proactive advice and specific solutions in response to records management requirements to colleagues, all while ensuring compliance to enterprise requirements as set out in the Data Lifecyle, Data Governance and Records Management Policy and supporting documents. Where possible, through your monitoring and oversight you will identify and support colleagues in mitigating potential issues before they arise. You will manage cyclical processes and provide operational support to the Director, HR Regulatory Affairs who serves as the lead Senior Records Officer, and will be a trusted advisor to a team of HR record retention coordinators (RRC) and points of contact. You ensure that changes at the enterprise level are implemented and communicated to your colleagues.

How you’ll succeed- Records management - Some experience in, or knowledge of, records management principles/practices. Ensure a structured approach to managing CIBC records and find satisfaction in ensuring this structure is maintained. Develop and champion best practices in records management, for all types of electronic records.- Planning - Manage your time well, track multiple deliverables and develop work back plans that take into account deadlines, workload and potential black-out periods. Lead records management activities across Human Resources.- Relationship building & Influencing - Build strong relationships with various teams, by working with internal partners, to influence desired outcomes, and ensure the co-ordination of key deliverables. Oversee and advise on activities to be carried out by a team of RRCs and SPOCs.- Collaboration - Consult on changes that impact records management within the department and at the enterprise level.- Problem solving - Collect information, understand where dependencies exist, to develop effective solutions.- Quality reviews - Conduct quality checks to validate adherence to established requirements
