About the Role

At Family Services of Greater Vancouver, we’ve been helping people in crisis since 1928. As a non-profit, we help people develop skills and knowledge, empowering our neighbours to create positive change in their lives. Our team is made up of more than 420 staff, including expert counsellors and support workers who provide compassionate, client-centered care to youth experiencing homelessness, families and children impacted by trauma, victims of domestic violence, and other vulnerable people from an evidence-based, trauma-informed lens. Working within the mission, vision, values and person-centred philosophy of the Agency, the Administrative and Workshop Coordinator supports two FSGV programs in an administrative capacity. This role is responsible for the coordination and maintenance of workshop bookings, community outreach, and coaching sessions as well as data collection and analysis. The Coordinator supports coaches and facilitators administratively to ensure materials are updated and created, and available on hand. This role also connects with clients to help promote, manage and complete existing and new projects as needed. It actively supports the Agency’s awareness and goals around diversity and inclusion.

**Work Hours**: 35 hours per week (Regular Full-time)

**Salary**: Grade 8 Step 1 (hourly wage rate of $25.06)

**Location***: This role is primarily in person with the possibility of occasional remote work after a probation period. Our office is in the culturally vibrant Vancouver neighbourhood of Commercial Drive & East Broadway

What you bring:
**Education, Training, Experience**
- A bachelor's degree in counselling, social work, adult education, or a related field, with direct client services, administration, coordination, and negotiation; or an equivalent combination of education training and experience
- Experience in the financial services sector or adult education or counselling or workplace mental health is an asset

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
- Familiarity and knowledge around money management and finance related matters is an asset
- Knowledgeable in both educational methods and the content of the trainings
- Awareness of community services, resources and systems and ability to work with these; competence in working with a multi-cultural community.
- A committed ability to keep informed about evolving trends and practices, share knowledge, and support staff to integrate innovation into the delivery of quality care/services
- Excellent analytical and decision making skills
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding communicator and capable of working with a diverse client base from front line staff and clients to CEO’s and Directors
- Strong ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop, manage and evaluate programs considering client needs, service delivery interrelationships, and service potential.

- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check
- Proof of Covid-19 vaccination status will be required
