**REPORTS TO**:Supervisor, Community Support and Prevention

Provide leadership for a range of initiatives within the agency and in the community to support local leadership development and community engagement; enhance service user engagement with Macaulay and enhance opportunities for family engagement and network building. Provide information, resources and support for parents connected to Community Programs on a range of different topics.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Use a variety of strategies to increase community engagement.
- Implement strategies to develop and support family engagement and network building.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to Macaulay staff on how to increase engagement of services users in agency/program processes.
- Coordinate and facilitate workshops with other Macaulay programs and community partner agencies to reach and meet the needs of families, including high risk/isolated families
- Create content, lead and facilitate in-person parent workshops.
- Maintain documentation of processes and activities.
- Develop and maintain service navigation tool for all Community Programs channel
- Maintain accurate and complete program statistics and records and prepare reports as required.
- Participate in Agency and/or community task forces, committees, and /or work groups as needed.
- Attend Early ON programs on a daily basis and provide support, and guidance to Early ON staff on an as needed basis
- Develop and foster strong relationships with Macaulay families through weekly parent support groups, and in-person check ins at various Early ON sites.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum Bachelor’s level degree with 3 to 5 years of social work, adult education and/or community development work experience or related work experience.
- Strong background in group facilitation and community engagement practices.
- Demonstrated understanding of issues related to working with marginalized low-income, and newcomer neighborhoods.
- Excellent leadership, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication and listening skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective work partnerships with families, colleagues and service providers of diverse backgrounds, abilities and identities.
- Access to a vehicle is required.
- Ability to communicate effectively in more than one language an important asset.
- Excellent time management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize.
- Strong understanding of teamwork and independent practice with the ability to work effectively to contribute to high performing teams.
- Ability to work all shifts. Day, evening and weekend hours as required.
- Acceptable Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Proof of full vaccination status against COVID-19.

**SALARY**: Community Engagement Coordinator Salary Scale ($57,694- $62,071 per annum) (starting at $31.70/hour)
