**The Role**: We're on the lookout for a proactive and ambitious **Community Engagement and Communications Coordinator **to spearhead our social media efforts and lead community engagement initiatives, focusing especially on the Upper School and our dynamic online alumni community.

This role is an on-site position, with the option to work from home in the summer. Additionally, it offers a total of five weeks of vacation, aligned with school breaks (winter break, March Break and summer). The position is set to commence on March 18, 2024.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Content Planning**:Work with the school Directors and Admissions team to plan and execute schoolwide communication initiatives. Maintain a schoolwide content calendar. Seek out content opportunities within the Hudson community and provide strategic input and creative focus that can be leveraged across all platforms.
- **Content Creation**:Coordinate professional photographers/videographers for biannual visits. On a day-to-day basis, capture high-impact pictures and videos to be used in campaign-oriented materials, social media and elsewhere. Document school life through photos and video, sorting and archiving images for current and future use.
- **Social Media Management**: Assist in implementing schoolwide, targeted social media advertising campaigns. Design visually appealing templates, elevating the current visual brand of social media posts and ads.
- **Community Communications**: Write and publish informative, resonant content for our parent newsletters, alumni community activity digests, and our annual alumni magazine.
- **Alumni Engagement**:Develop, implement, and manage impactful community engagement initiatives like the alumni-student mentorship program, the alumni-alumni mentorship program, and alumni networking events. Motivate our alumni, particularly those who are young and busy professionals, to actively participate in our online alumni community and get involved in school programs and events.

- Is social media savvy, able to analyze metrics to strategize and pivot approaches for maximum post engagement.
- Possesses excellent writing and content creation skills, including video editing, that captivate and motivate.
- Excels in effective communication with various audiences.
- Is a natural at networking and relationship building.
- Is adept at managing multiple projects with exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Embodies empathy and patience as the guiding principles in all interactions.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Proven experience in alumni relations, social media management, digital marketing or communications.
- Skilled in content management systems and basic video editing tools.
- Proficiency with graphic design software and Adobe Creative Suite, enabling the creation of visually striking social media graphics and ads.

**Salary**: $62,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
