**About the role**

The Manager, Operational Infrastructure promotes a culture of digital innovation and transformation. Leads a small team of IT professionals with a focus on client service excellence and provide strategic guidance on technology solutions while providing hands on expertise and support. The Manager will develop, implement, and maintain an integrated information management strategy and associated systems, processes, equipment, and services that enable staff and constituent associations to manage their business.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manages the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and communications systems.
- Oversees the implementation, maintenance, optimization and day-to-day of cloud-based systems including Microsoft Office 365.
- Establishes and maintains a cyber security framework including disaster recovery and incident response plans.
- Establishes robust data recovery processes and regularly audits them to ensure completeness and alignment with the established framework.
- Plans, implements, and upgrades server hardware and software to meet business requirements and ensures optimal performance.
- Develops and maintains IT policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Develops operational plans and procedures for proper operation, monitoring, maintenance, and updating of IT and communication infrastructure (physical and virtual) to ensure security, accessibility, performance and continuance of business operations.
- Selects and integrates all information systems technology into the overall organizational information management strategy.
- Provides guidance on technology for new or updated information systems.
- Manages IT vendor relationships and contracts.
- Leads and manages a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support with a focus on client service excellence.
- Manages all IT assets, licenses and support equipment purchases to ensure availability of equipment and compliance.
- Manages help desk software services to track and resolve incoming requests or issues from users and clients.
- Develops and monitors IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and adherence to financial objectives.
- Ensures continuous learnings on the latest industry trends, cyber security, cloud based systems, digital platforms, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation within the company's IT infrastructure.
- Conducts regular system audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and implements appropriate security measures.

**Education and Experience Requirements**

***Education**
- Graduate from a recognized University specializing in Computer Science, Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

**Experience**
- Minimum of (10) ten years of progressive experience in IT Operations Management.
- Proven experience in managing IT operations, preferably as an IT Manager or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge IT infrastructure elements such as but not limited to cloud-based systems, Microsoft Office 365, IT security and emerging technologies.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing enterprise-level software and hardware systems.
- Proficient in network administration, information security, and data backup/recovery strategies.

**Key Competencies**
- Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar leadership role, with expertise in cloud-based solutions, Microsoft Office 365, IT security and compliance obligations.
- Experience with administration of service level agreements and delivery required to run and monitor a reliable, high performance, and secure front office, back office, and operational infrastructure that is critical to the company’s success.
- Experience with staff supervision, work planning, budget creation, development, and control.
