As an Infrastructure Manager, you will manage and coordinate the operational aspects of our company's IT infrastructure. Key tasks will involve capacity planning, disaster recovery, knowledge sharing, environment management, cost optimization, and security auditing. A core part of your role will also include the development and implementation of programs to oversee ongoing initiatives, regularly liaise with key stakeholders, and work closely with financial departments to align infrastructure goals with business objectives and budgets.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Capacity Planning**: Design and implement a program to analyze and forecast resource usage to anticipate future growth and traffic spikes, ensuring the infrastructure can handle the expected load cost-effectively.
- **Disaster Recovery and Backup**: Develop, manage, and regularly test disaster recovery strategies. Additionally, formulate a program to routinely monitor and update these strategies to ensure continuous effectiveness.
- **Documentation and Knowledge Sharing**: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the infrastructure and institute a knowledge sharing program to foster uniformity and continuity across the team.
- **Environment Management**: Supervise financial controls on run rates and establish a program for routine budget reviews in collaboration with the finance team. This responsibility includes directing procurement initiatives with the accounts payable and procurement teams.
- **Infrastructure Cost Optimization**: Develop an infrastructure and platform vendor management program for efficient cost control. Regularly collaborate with finance and procurement departments to ensure budgetary compliance and facilitate procurement initiatives.
- **Security and Compliance**: Set up a program to monitor and maintain security best practices to protect customer data and infrastructure.
- **Tool Acquisition and Management**: Lead a tool vendor management program for the acquisition of beneficial tools into the organization. Keep track of both capital and operational expenses associated with these tools. For each tool acquired, document contractual documents, support contacts, and potential support risks.
In all these areas, you will be expected to regularly present summary representations of the program's progress and initiatives to key stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment with broader company objectives.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in managing IT infrastructure.
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Manager, IT Manager or similar role.
- Expertise in system installation, configuration, and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
- Knowledge of data center management and data governance.
- Excellent knowledge of project management principles and experience in managing large scale projects.
- Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects.
- Familiarity with IT management frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT).
**Preferred Skills**:
- Project management certification (such as PMP).
- Experience with cloud platforms (such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with networking technologies and protocols.
**Soft Skills**:
- Leadership and team-building skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Adaptability.
- Ability to work under pressure.
