The Security Operations Manager is responsible for the Security Operations (Sec Ops) team. You will provide clear guidance, direction, and leadership to the team. The Nokia Deepfield Security Operations team is a global team of technical experts that helps our customers deal with complex DDoS attacks. Sec Ops engineers troubleshoot issues on the Deepfield platform, analyze DDoS attacks, validate samples from our DDoS Attack Library and design the most effective set of countermeasures when customers request Sec Ops intervention while under attack.

**What you will learn and contribute to**

As the Security Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading the organization that maintains one of the largest and most detailed collection of DDoS attack samples. Your team will use big-data analytics to help customers protect themselves from all DDoS attacks. You will own the delivery of the Deepfield Emergency Response Team, a new commercial concierge service for DDoS best-in-class support for customers. The Security Operations team will deliver this ERT service for the networks using Deepfield Defender, along with all areas of Support for Deepfield Defender.

As part of our team, you will:

- You will lead the Security Operations team to help customers successfully deal with DDoS attacks utilizing the most efficient countermeasures and provide technical assistance related to DDoS attack detection and mitigation.
- You will own the Deepfield Emergency Response Team service, and all areas of Support for Deepfield Defender.
- You will be responsible for developing and implementing MOPs (Method of Procedure), providing guidelines, training, playbooks, commercial material, and scope of work.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, mentoring, priority management, employee support and career technical growth to the Security Operations team.
- Proactively manage risks and triage escalated issues in customer networks with clear communication by implementing innovative solutions.
- Create relationships and work with Deepfield and other multi-regional product groups involved with support and development.
- Research, analyze and report client and global internet data and DDoS traffic patterns. Develop reports including lessons learned.
- Lead and pursue collaboration with Product Line Management and R&D to advance Deepfield product readiness throughout the product lifecycle.
- Work closely with R&D to manage escalation of customer issues that require development team engagement and support
- Support system verification testing during critical times and demonstrate technical expertise for new releases and features.
- Ensure external and internal customers using Defender and/or ERT tickets are tracked, updated, and maintained in accordance with customer SLA.
- Develop expertise to triage, debug, de-code, reproduce and resolve Defender DDoS detection and mitigations.
- Contribute to the Secure Genome threat intelligence feed
- Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations as escalation manager for Defender issues

**Your skills and experience**

You have:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering / Computer Science, or equivalent related experience in a technical field.
- Experience managing and leading Customer Technical Support Team and Customer Escalation Management.
- Experience dealing with customers and Senior leaders
- 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, data loss prevention, or insider risk with heavy emphasis on security visibility and insights.
- Experience with Security Incident Handling & Response.
- Working knowledge of Network Security protocols (TCP/IP, SSL, HTTP, VPN, firewalls, tcpdump, IDPS etc.)
