Fleet Operations Manager

We're looking for a Fleet Operations Manager who is an entrepreneurial, hands-on builder to launch and manage Autzu’s Ottawa fleet operations. This role is responsible for optimizing fleet operations, launching new sites, building a team, keeping to a budget, setting a local fleet strategy and executing ruthlessly against it.
**Responsibilities**:
- Pre-launch setup in Ottawa: Locate nearby parking lots that meet company criteria and begin site preparations, including establishing wash bay equipment, hiring cleaning staff, and procuring necessary signage and branding materials.
- Manage daily operations of the parking hub, ensuring efficient and effective functioning of all activities, including vehicle maintenance, recharging, and cleaning.
- Oversee and supervise the work of fleet associates, providing guidance, training, and support as needed to maintain a high level of performance.
- Establish strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners to negotiate favourable contracts and agreements, ensuring high-quality products and services at competitive prices.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of supplies, equipment, and spare parts needed for vehicle maintenance and hub operations.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, as well as local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to fleet management and the rideshare industry.
- Regularly inspect vehicles in the fleet, identify and resolve issues, and coordinate with the appropriate teams for repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections and maintenance activities and generate reports for management review.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as engineering and customer service, to optimize fleet utilization and address any issues related to vehicle availability or customer satisfaction.
- Continuously analyze hub performance and identify opportunities for improvement, implementing changes as needed to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local vendors, partners, and regulatory agencies to support the ongoing success of the parking hub.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes that may impact fleet operations and implement necessary changes to maintain a competitive edge.
**Requirements**:
- 2-5 years of experience in fleet management, operations, or a similar role, with a track record of success in managing teams and meeting performance goals.
- Knowledge of the rideshare industry, EV technology, and best practices in fleet maintenance and management.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Valid driver's license, reliable form of transportation, and a clean driving record
