If you are flexible, action-oriented, well organized, a self-starter, and passionate about project/program management, change management, continuous improvement, and enabling others to succeed, then this is the opportunity for you.

**Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?**

Drive day-to-day Operations support with our Employee Relations Team and deliver on a portfolio of high-impact ER initiatives and projects:

- Within 30 days of employment: become competent in VMware’s business guidelines, our HR Operating model, our HR Planning and Operations Solution Delivery model, and standard ER operations.
- Within 60 days of employment: you will be managing a portfolio of ER projects including global triage/queue management, key results, and trend reporting, and ensure the successful execution, delivery, and adoption of ER projects/programs within the team.
- Within 180 days, you will be identifying and acting on opportunities that address quality gaps and data fidelity, and help to increase communication, collaboration, and alignment across our global Employee Relations domain. You will plan and lead broader cross-functional initiatives and be responsible for continuous improvement in key ER Operations areas.
- Throughout your first year, you will be taking advantage of opportunities to learn and grow your career by scheduling regular development discussions with your manager, learning about other HR COE areas of interest, volunteering to work on other exciting HR projects and initiatives, attending one of our many learning sessions or development-related events offered, expanding your global network, and much more.

**The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?**

The HRPO Team is responsible for HR Business Operations working closing with senior leadership to strategically plan, operationalize, and land solutions that solve business needs and deliver key results. In this role you will:

- Maintain and produce daily, weekly, and monthly operational and business reports which will require strong analytical skills and the ability to compile and generate reports containing highly confidential data.
- Ensure we are being data driven and using insights to steer decision-making and gather business insights. Analyze ER data to ascertain organizational trends, deliver quantitative analysis, and provide insights to leadership on trends and potential workplace risks.
- Partner closely with ER Leadership to develop cutting edge policies, guidelines, frameworks, and procedures to achieve maximum efficiency and ensure we always operate with VMware’s core values and culture in mind.
- Use Continuous Process Improvement methods to inspire and improve quality. Be an expert user of the ER Case Management tool so you can help the team streamline processes and procedures that drive effectiveness and efficiency (productivity, triage and queue management, escalations, aged incidents, etc.). Automate whenever possible.
- Be passionate about the quality and work we deliver, and continuously strive to improve our Employee Relations experience.
- Partner with ER leadership in the implementation and adherence to SLAs. Monitor and working closely with the ER Leadership Team to ensure all operational KPIs and metrics are being measured and met.

- Partner closely with HR Tech to engage, manage, and collaborate with our ER Case Mgmt vendor (HR Acuity) regarding system upgrades, custom reports and dashboards, and reporting of bugs / issues.
- Collect and define new functionality, usability, and reliability requirements in partnership with the ER tool users. Evaluate new system enhancements to determine which ones to adopt and when, then test, train and support new and enhanced functionality. This includes executing user-acceptance test plans to ensure the system changes are error-free and meet the approved requirements and design.
- As needed: other fun, interesting, and important projects that deliver business value and key results.
