**Overview of the Role**
**Specific Responsibilities**
- Develop goals and strategies for account base that complement our Business Units’ mission/strategies/tactics and develop specific action plans (with the Business Unit Team) that will meet the goals.
- Engage and influence customers, distributors, dealers and retailers that Woodstream has the products & services to grow profits and meet their customers’ needs by substantiating those claims with facts and benefits.
- Build content of Woodstream and competitive product lines - including prices, programs, coop, show specials, product knowledge, etc.
- Develop and execute growth plans to out-perform market comparisons, while optimizing product assortment and mix to improve profitability.
- Communicate regularly with key accounts. Build close relationships between Woodstream and customers - horizontally across many functions and vertically up to senior management and down to the field level.
- When needed, acquire, train, set objectives and regularly communicate for, development and review with additional sales resources.
- Continuously improve self and others by building content, using problem solving skills, and utilizing available technologies.
- Communicate throughout Woodstream, making sure that each department understands account challenges and is actively engaged in helping to solve those challenges.
- Budget, forecast and meet sales revenues and expenses.
- Measure actual results against goals, including POS and analyze for optimization/improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and stakeholders to drive growth in defined customer base (including but not limited to commercial opportunities and challenges, new product ideas, competitive initiatives, price, customer strategies, tactics, e.g. (including advertising, EDLP, promo activities, merchandising, etc.).
- Participate in the product/service development process where necessary. Provide facts/opinions; diverge/converge. Assist in executing desired action plan.
- Persist (with others) in efforts to automate, expedite, and simplify transactions with customers through EDI, VMI, QT, etc.
- Assist appropriate departments to eliminate credit/deductions problems.
- Travel to Customer events and Corporate Headquarters in US when necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- College degree, with preference in Business, Marketing, or similar field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in consumer product sales, strategy or marketing
- Strong analytical, organizational, communications, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
- Aptitude for problem solving and learning quickly.
- High energy level
- Professional appearance/manners
- Resides in Canada and is comfortable working remotely.
- Bi-lingual (English and French) a plus
