**Job Description**:
**POSITION PURPOSE**

**_CORPORATE GOVERNANCE_**:

- Departmental work related to scheduling technology functions work in close collaboration with Corporate Information Technology and/or the Department deemed to have Corporate Governance; consistent with the Region's Information Technology and Corporate vision and strategy; supporting the development and implementation of Corporate Information Technology initiatives, programs, processes, policies, and protocols and ensuring Corporate Compliance. Corporate Information Technology/Governance provides strategic Information Technology planning, direction and leadership across the Region._

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Develops and implements staff schedules and on-going changes for 24/7 year-round operations in Seniors Services through the use of specialized computerized scheduling software to ensure operational service levels accurately reflect service requirements.
- Liaises with Operations and other functional groups regarding proposed schedule changes by developing schedules for new shifts/services, modifying schedules, and making adjustments for seasonal services, special projects, training and education etc. to ensure compliance with current legislation and collective agreements.
- Makes recommendations to improve efficiencies of schedules as related to service/operational requirements.
- Participates in and coordinates tasks related to scheduling and timekeeping software installation, upgrade, patches, and technical configuration changes, as directed by our internal partners and policies.
- Analyzes and recommends business systems solutions based on business practices and staffing model requirements, in conjunction with team members, to resolve client business problems.
- Assists the Supervisor with the preparation of regular staffing reports; statistics and analysis of programs staffing requirements for budgeting purposes.
- Provides education on scheduling and timekeeping software system, and time clocks to the Branch staff to optimize and improve the brand and usage of the system across the Branch.
- Liaises, fosters and maintains positive relationships with internal staff and external contacts.
- Performs other duties as assigned, in accordance with Branch and Department objectives.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Successful completion of a College Diploma in Information Technology, Business or Public Administration, or related field or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three (3) years demonstrated experience in the coordination and implementation of business activities, including scheduling, research, and administration of programs.
- Demonstrated experience providing support in an environment with a broad variety of administrative and clerical functions with responsibilities for one or more program(s) and/or senior staff, with an emphasis on determining priorities and organizing activities of a diverse work assignment, including customer service, records management, and report generation.
- Knowledge of trends in the use of current technology as it relates to data management system
- Demonstrated ability in the Region’s corporate core competencies.
