Equipment Sales Representative

At SMS Equipment, our **Equipment Sales Representatives** are responsible managing sales of new equipment within the domestic sales function. They create and maintain solid long-term relationships with customers by leveraging their knowledge of markets, customer business and products. We are looking for someone who is tenacious, optimistic and a team player to join our growing sales team. This role is based in **Winnipeg, MB.**
The base salary for this role is **$48,000 plus commission.**
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- **Manage sales of equipment solutions** by monitoring economic trends and new product development. Collaborate with the Sales/Operations Manager to set quotas, implement sales action plans.
- **Meet personal sales targets as established.** Focus on accounts which are stable in nature within identified markets or geography. Utilize company technical, sales and promotional resources to generate leads and achieve sales goals.
- **Special projects as assigned.** Participate in major promotions, new product launches, and new marketing initiatives. Leverages professional associations and affiliations to build customer networks and relationships (i.e. LinkedIn, CIM, APEGGA, etc).
**Qualifications**:
- Possess an undergraduate degree in a related field.
- Sound understanding of the principles and concepts associated with the position.
- Ability to operate in a diverse environment with a significant focus on client/customer relationships.
- Ability to work under pressure and deadlines is essential.
- Possess good judgement and able to make intelligent decisions under pressure.
- Be dependable, innovative and creative.
- Must be ambitious and proactively acquiring cutting edge technology and “best practise” pertaining to the Company’s products.
- Valid Class 5 drivers license.
