**About this role**:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for assisting the Finance team with ensuring that all invoices, cheque requisitions, and expense reports are verified, approved and posted accurately and payments are processed on a timely basis. This is a great opportunity to work with a friendly team in a fast paced, dynamic, and growing company.

**What you'll be doing**:
Validate invoices and track them on a set system and upload for payment.

Record monthly payments and do period reconciliations.

Act as the main accounting contact for Routes Adventures' vendors.

Record transactions and retain all accounting records. Post, verify and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.

Develop and maintain positive client relationships through proactive account management and training of Routes Adventures’ vendors for invoicing processes.

Consistently deliver excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.

Contribute to Routes Adventures performance by displaying a positive, enthusiastic attitude.

Assist the Finance Manager with financial reporting and analysis.

Review detailed reports and expenses as well as posting into the system.

Reconcile Group Leaders’ wages - ensuring that it's done in a timely manner.

Assist with the yearly audit - working closely with the external auditors and the Finance Manager.

**Desired Skills & Abilities**:
1+ years of experience in accounting

Certificate/degree in Accounting or Finance

Intermediate knowledge of Office 365 and Excel

Intermediate English skills (written and oral)

strong organizational and time management skills

Strong analytical skills with a strong attention to detail

Good understanding and use of financial and operating systems (SAGE)

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadllines

Flexible and adaptable
