**Job Description**:
**The Position**:
In collaboration with other MLSE staff, the Manager, Community Development will manage the cross-Canada construction of 3 basketball courts, and 5 capital grants. Reporting to the Managing Director, MLSE Foundation, this person will be the primary conduit for the completion of this project between both internal and external stakeholders, as well as trades and contractors.

Core components of this position are supporting marketing and storytelling strategies, managing project implementation of capital projects, stewarding corporate donors, as well as maintaining strong community-based relationships with diverse community agencies and facilitating their capital grant in a culturally-relevant and inclusive way.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate the identification, pre-planning, and construction execution of 8- high-profile basketball court projects, in determined cities across Canada.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget, while maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
- Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility.
- Establish and maintain key community relationships with strategic partners to ensure long-term success of the court project.
- Support the MLSE partnerships team in determining and selling sponsorship opportunities related to the project.
- Support partnership team in stewarding corporate and community stakeholders in culturally relevant and responsive ways.
- Support storytelling and marketing initiatives related to the court projects.
- Develop and execute court launch events in consultation with internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and prepare internal and external reports of status, progress, and outcome of project activities.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.

**Qualifications**:
- 5 years working in a project management or contract coordination role, with experience interacting with diverse stakeholders. Strong preference for someone who is familiar with community construction projects.
- Experience in community grantmaking considered a strong asset
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), organizational skills (analytical and problem solving), and the ability to work with confidential documents
- Understanding of corporate culture, tactful communications and creative problem-solving from a community-centered lens
- Advanced analytical and time management skills
- Budgeting and financial knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Extraordinary attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required to support role and operations, as well as travel across Canada, when required.
- Adhere to all MLSE service standards and policies including Health & Safety
