**Athabasca University's Faculty of Businessis currently recruiting for the position of Academic Coordinator, Personal Finance.**
- Please note this is a temporary part-time [0.6FTE] position starting October, 2024 and ending June, 2025._
The Position:
The Academic Coordinator, Personal Finance will be responsible for the delivery, teaching, administration, and maintenance of the following four (4) Finance (FNCE)courses at the undergraduate level:
Finance (FNCE) 249 Personal Investing
Finance (FNCE) 322Personal Finance
Finance (FNCE) 323Personal Finance: Special Topics
Finance (FNCE) 350Insurance and Personal Risk Management
The Academic Coordinatorensures the coordination and teaching of these courses, supervises the assigned Academic Experts/Markers, and collaborates with support staff as necessary. Duties include handling of student issues (grade appeals, course challenges, exam reviews, transfer credit requests, academic misconduct) as well as overseeing a team of tutors who are responsible for assisting students. The Academic Coordinator may be required to support already in progress course revisions for final review and sign off.This positions reports to the CentreChair,Economics and Finance, in the Faculty of Business.
Qualifications:
- Postgraduate/graduate master's degrees are required. A PhD degree in Business is preferred.
- Experience in online learning/teaching and familiarity with AU specific digital administration and teaching technologies (Moodle, Brightspace, Grades) would be preferred assets.
