Product Strategy Specialist

**Job Summary**
As a Product Strategy, Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and enhancing product performance. Reporting to the Senior Director
- Product Strategy, this newly created role will help support the commercial and regulatory teams in the areas of: Project Charters, Jurisdictional Submissions, and Product Development.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Manage, develop and documents project charters for Ops, PD, QA
- Manage lifecycle of existing products, recommending improvements, extensions, and new ideas
- Forecasting of unit monthly for Rec and Medical sales
- Advise and help with COGS, MSRP and landed pricing - with full ownership of target dates for launches
- Assist in the preparation of pitches for new product SKUs to provincial boards - determine parameters for new type of product, right to win, competitors, and total category sales
- Provide subcategory reviews of both Canadian and US products
- Management of all GS1 related product for the commercial and medical team
- Assist with listing submissions and merchandiser reviews in collaboration with Category Managers
- Support the development of labels, images, QA documentation, CR documentation, GS1, and NNCP submissions
- Manage third party vendor relationships with various suppliers (e.g. packaging, services, finished goods)
- Create and manage process improvement tools for cross-functional teams for process flow & access to information
- Label review, imaging and template design ownership - while working closely with QA and RA teams
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
**ROLE REQUIREMENTS/ABILITIES**
**Experience / Education**
- Post Secondary education is required
- Bachelor’s degree is an asset
- 2-4 years’ experience in a relevant industry - food and beverage / beer / alcohol, CPG, Pharmaceutical
- Product launch experience
- Cannabis industry experience is not required but is considered an asset.
**Skills & Abilities**
- Experience in a growth phase post start-up environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Project Management tools
- Experience with building financial models
- Ability to align internal and external customers toward and common vision
- Strong written and oral communication skills as well as good presentation skills
- Proven leadership, strategic, and analytical abilities
- Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
- Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
- Demonstrated ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Superior knowledge of Microsoft Suite of Software
- Excellent level of comfort and skill set using MS Office
**Physical Demands**:
- Office work relative to computer screen time
- Ergonomic design of home office is required
- Random driving time (less than 5%) to company events in Paris or Port Perry, ON
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
