**ASSISTANT MANAGER**
Exciting News Chillin Buds is hiring. We are looking to hire an experienced, reliable, highly organized individual for the full-time position of Assistant Manager at their location in Paris, Ontario. This is a full-time opportunity for someone looking to be part of a growing industry.
**ROLE OF ASSISTANT MANAGER**
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to:_
- Stay abreast of cannabis trends, products, competition, pricing
- Prepare & Implement quarterly Retail Strategy
- Ensures retail store represents a high level of cleanliness
- Ensures retail store represents high level of customer service and customer care
- Visual Merchandising: Ensures product offerings are properly merchandised
- Communicates and delegates responsibilities to employees
- Has a “roll up your sleeves” operations style
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and calmly deal with any stressful situations
- Oversee and Implement Project Scheduling & Staff Scheduling
- Manages with integrity and honesty
- HR Processes & Labour Management: Recruiting, Interviewing, Selecting and Termination
- Conducts Performance Reviews
- Ensure that Policies and Procedures are followed
- Ensure that employees adhere to health and safety regulations as well as AGCO compliance regulations
- Inventory Management & Audits
- Social Media Marketing
- Analyzing of financial revenue data, GP, markdowns, and KPI
- Staff Management of multiple locations
- Training & Development of Staff
- Implements Cost Control Procedures
- Financial accounting
- Oversees Order Preparation, Receiving, Processing
- Identifies growth opportunities and ability to implement key sales targets
- All other duties assigned by store owner
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**
- Must be able to lift or carry objects weighing 0-20 pounds during scheduled shift.
- Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, reach, push/pull, walk and squat during scheduled shift
**QUALIFICATION**
- Must have 3-5 years retail experience in a supervisory, operations or management position
- Bachelor’s degree or College diploma (preferred)
- Proven success in building customer relationships and providing exceptional customer service in a retail management or supervisory position
- CannSell Retail Certification (This can be obtained **prior** to starting employment)
- Must be willing to obtain a Retail Managers License
- Must be able to work 40 hours (some weekends)
- Must be proficient in computer skills (MS office suite, Google Docs, Internet Navigation, managing
- Must have knowledge of cannabis and cannabis products or willingness to learn
- Knowledge of cannabis legislation and regulations is an asset
- Loss Prevention and implementation of systems
- Ability to pass a background check and criminal record check
- Intermediate to advanced computing skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred
- Superior written, oral, interpersonal skills, professional presentation
- Can work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
- Must be able to manage and multitask in a fast paced environment
- Must be 19 years of age or older and hold a valid Ontario Drivers License
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Physical ability and health will be necessary in order to perform physical labor tasks required for the proper management and up-keep of the store.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, performing repetitive motions, mopping, vacuuming, and carrying boxes.
