LaPrairie Crane, a member of LaPrairie Group of Companies, is one of Canada’s largest independent mobile-crane companies with fleet capabilities ranging from 5 - 600 tons, including all terrain, boom truck, carry deck, crawler, hydraulic truck, rough terrain, and tower cranes.

LaPrairie Crane is currently looking for a full-time **Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) and Administration Coordinator** to join its team in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Job Summary

The HSE and Administration Coordinator will work closely with the Senior HSE Supervisor to achieve a safe working environment and meet statutory and contractual requirements. _The HSE and Administration Coordinator will be required to travel to LaPrairie Crane worksites throughout Eastern Saskatchewan and Manitoba._

**Key Areas of Responsibility**

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Provide professional expertise and guidance in all areas of HSE including direction in incident management and investigation.
- Provide support, advice and direction for Line managers and supervisors on all Safety-related issues.
- Comply with HSE Policy and promote a safe working environment.
- Promote an organizational culture where incidents, hazards and opportunities for improvement are reported, discussed, and addressed quickly and efficiently.
- Be accountable for the interpretation of the Provincial and Federal OHS legislation as it applies.
- Assist supervisors in the delivery of Toolbox Safety talks.
- Mentor employees on HSE issues on sites.
- Liaison with contractors, third parties, HSE and other internal clients with the provision of presentations to increase awareness of HSE matters.
- Support incident owners to ensure accident and incident investigations are conducted and events reported in a timely manner.
- Support safety meetings by providing relevant information for use during the meeting and actively participating throughout.
- Carry out and record regular safety checks, remote site visits and safety inspections with documentation completed in a timely manner
- Maintain a pro-active approach to the wellbeing of all employees, subcontractors and associated client personnel affected by our work.
- Dispatch and manage scheduling & logistics as needed with the necessary permits and directions
- Manage incoming phone calls and other communication channels from operators, customers, management.
- Communicate with supervisors in the field to ensure adequate tools, equipment and manpower is available.
- Maintain accurate and timely data information in company’s custom dispatch and quoting platforms.
- Create electronic quotes and send to customers.
- Open Job and Work Orders; request Purchase Orders when required from Fort McMurray office.
- Review and verify paperwork such as daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.
- Oversee and support the Administration function for the Winnipeg, Manitoba office.

**Qualifications**:

- Mid-level administrative experience.
- Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Timely and accurate data entry.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization and time-management capabilities.
- Ability to work well independently
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs.
- Maturity and discretion when dealing with confidential information and sensitive inquiries.
- An enthusiastic, positive outlook and willingness to learn.
- COR auditor certification with Energy Safety Canada is an asset.
- Previous HSE work experience is an asset.
- Experience in writing policies and procedures is an asset.
- Experience in working with a Safety Management System is an asset.
- Working towards certification in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent work experience is an asset.
- Previous experience working with Potash mines is an asset
