**What does the Health Information Management team do?**
Health Information Management (HIM) is a leader in the collection, storage, and distribution of patient information within British Columbia. Our dedicate team of professionals are some of the first points of contact at Health Organizations sites. As a consolidated Lower Mainland department of Providence Health Care, HIM has staff at about 40 geographically dispersed locations across Fraser Health, Providence Health Care, Provincial Health Services Authority and Vancouver Coastal Health.
Approximately 1,450 staff working the following Service Areas: Registration, Records Management, Transcription Services, Health Information Exchange, and Coding. Additional Corporate Services include: Strategic Planning, Projects & Business Optimization, Culture & Communications. There is room for growth and development and we aim to support our teams to flourish.
**What you will do**:
The successful applicant will be supported by the team but work autonomously to:
- Set up meetings, create agendas, manage calendars, take detailed meeting minutes and follow up when needed.
- Accurately process invoices, accounts payable items, liaise with appropriate stakeholders.
- Support office administrative tasks including troubleshooting technical issues with our IT team
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries from internal and external sources as appropriate, answer queries from patients and escalating the questions to the appropriate person.
- Provide feedback and improve processes.
- Support timekeeping functions.
**About you**:
- High School Diploma, completion of a recognized secretarial program and three (3) to five (5) years recent, related experience supporting management staff, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Possess a growth mindset and a zest for learning and prides themselves in being a detailed person
- Truly enjoys working with assisting people and providing excellent customer service, and be the face of the team.
- Possesses the ability to anticipate needs.
- Demonstrated organizational and accuracy skills to effectively prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple complex and competing priorities.
- Effective interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Intermediate to advanced skills using a variety of computerized software packages such as Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook), related databases and Internet.
- Proficient with use of technology or willingness to grow.
Preference will be given to those with the following experience, but not required:
- Knowledge and use of MS Visio and web publishing software.
- Strong financial management skills.

- The salary range for this role is $42,392 - $55,640 per year, depending on experience.
