The incumbent will be part of MEMS Reclamation & Construction team to assist with technical administration and project management needs. This position is focused on providing support to the Portfolio and Project Managers within MEMS. The incumbent is expected to have frequent and open communication with the Portfolio and Project Managers that they are working with. This position requires a mainly office-focused position in a demanding consultative environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Working within client databases, focused on but not limited to:
- Updating applicable fields with work completed bused upon from Field tickets (may be milestone based or from daily field tickets)
- Updating the client required/requested fields, such as: Tasks and Task Details; Surface Locations; Contamination; Lessons Learned; Site Reclamation; Planned Activities and Plan Details (or fields as named by the client)
- Pulling workplans, running queries or other reports as requested by PM
- Completing uploads and downloads from client sites as directed by the PMs for reports and supporting documents; safety paperwork and ground disturbance packages; airphotos; others as needed.
- Searching and downloading file information and airphotos from client sites
- Preparation of ground disturbance packages
- Preparation of information requirements for agreements (Road Use, Crossing, Proximity)
- Submittal of Safety forms (e.g. hazard id’s, completed on site forms, etc.) into clients (if needed)
- Upload of Phase 1, Phase 2, Remediation Reports and Record of Site Condition (RoSCs) into OneStop
- Building of RCAs in OneStop
- Updating tracking spreadsheets with work completed
- File compilation, organization of field data, interpretation of laboratory results, maps, survey plans and air photos.
- Ensuring the quality of processes and deliverables;
- Other duties as required
**Other knowledge and skills**:
- Strong understanding of agriculture, forestry and oilfield industry; including associated practices and sciences;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to work either independently or as a part of a team interacting with other team members and contractors;
- Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure;
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary setting;
- Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail;
- Willingness to travel;
- Mentoring skills; and
- excellent safety attitude.
**What you bring**:
- Applicable Bachelor’s degree or Diploma with emphasis on reclamation or soil science;
- keen understanding of the life cycle of upstream oil and gas and the main stages and process involved (phase I, Phase II, remediation, reclamation and RCAs)
- Knowledge and experience with the 2010 Reclamation Criteria and Guidelines as well as the Tier 1 and Tier 2 Remediation Guidelines would also be advantageous;
- Eligibility for membership in a relevant professional organization is required,
- Must be able to meet the requirements of site access as dictated by our clients, this may include pre-access drug, alcohol and fitness testing, and
- possess a valid, non-GDL Class 5 Drivers license.
