**Job Overview**:
As part of the HR team the **Human Resources Coordinator **will be responsible for the full recruitment lifecycle. This position will also assist with employee relations and work with the team on projects relating to retention and communication, including overseeing employee engagement activities. Support will also be provided with health and safety, payroll, and administrative tasks.

**Responsibilities**:
**Recruitment**
- Responsible for leading overall recruitment strategy.
- Prepare job postings for internal and external positions.
- Track and analyze department specific metrics to continually benchmark recruitment strategy.
- Onboarding of new team members.
- Work closely with Department Managers to understand current and future hiring needs.

**Human Resources**
- Assist in maintaining accurate employee related filing and records.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, adjustments, and termination of coverage.
- Oversee planning and organization of employee engagement activities.
- Assist with development and implementation of policies, programs, and procedures.
- Draft forms, letters, reports, and memos as required.
- Respond to employees’ inquiries about various company policies, procedures, programs etc.
- Respond to requests for information concerning payroll, benefits, attendance, and employment status.
- Assist with the creation of discipline documents.
- Assist with the administration of training programs.

**Payroll**
- Responsible for ensuring the weekly payrolls are processed to meet Ceridian’s required input deadline.
- Code and enumerate payment amounts for vacation.
- Compute payments and codes for deduction / earning adjustment.
- Complete statutory holiday worksheet and confirm hours and /or earnings for employee’s entitlement.
- Audit the payroll input within the Ceridian system to ensure accuracy.
- Transmit data to Ceridian for payroll processing.
- Prepare journal entry from weekly payrolls.
- Reconcile payroll withholding tax reports for each employee and the company and facilitates any necessary changes.
- Prepare and distribute Records of Employment for laid off and terminated employees.
- Create weekly payroll costs and breakdowns to appropriate requesting parties as needed.
- Maintain reporting of employee medical and dental deductions to ensure proper collections of employee payroll deductions.

**Health and Safety**
- Assist with Health and Safety program, including minutes for JHSC meetings, injury tracking, WSIB paperwork.
- Assist with timely and accurate completion of accident/injury reporting.
- Assist with WSIB claim paperwork and return to work/modified work plans.
- Assist with development and implementation of H&S programs, processes, and/or procedures.

**Other**
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Perform other tasks as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-Secondary education.
- Previous Human Resources experience is an asset.
- Minimum 1 year recruiting experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Previous manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Health and Safety Experience, working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
