As a key member of our accounting team, you'll handle our day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes. You’ll be responsible for recording and maintaining financial transactions and ensuring that proper accounting methods, policies, and principles are applied.

As a Bookkeeper, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
**Duties**:
Handling cash receipts and reimbursements

Helping process accounts payable and accounts receivable with efficiency and accuracy, following up when necessary

Submitting government filings and reporting for GST, PST, and more

Assisting in month and year-end processes, such as reconciliations, inventory counts, fixed/capital assets, general ledger reconciliations and audits

Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles to ensure compliance and accuracy

Proactively identifying opportunities for improving systems and procedures, helping to streamline operations and maintain efficiency

Budgeting and cash management to support organizational growth

Collaborating on payroll processing to guarantee timely and accurate compensation

Monitoring and analyzing accounting data such as revenue and expenditure variances to produce financial reports

Supporting the team by undertaking general administrative duties, such as filing, cheque runs, and bank deposits

**Job Requirements**:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related fields

High attention to detail, accuracy, and an analytical mindset ready to proactively solve problems

Demonstrated ability to stay organized and manage multiple projects, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines

Excellent writing and communication skills

Proven working experience in an accounting office with a complete yearly accounting cycle

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

**Compensation**:
For this position, the typical hiring salary range falls between CAD **$55,000** and **$75,000** per year. The base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills and experience. LMG's compensation structure is rooted in a performance and merit-based approach that acknowledges the performance of both the individual and the team.
