Medical Office Administrator

**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our medical office. Your professionalism and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the patient experience and overall efficiency of our practice.
**Duties**
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at the front desk.
- Manage phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar for medical staff.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
- Maintain patient records in compliance with privacy regulations, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence, direct billing insurance companies via Jane App and Telus Health
- Support training development initiatives by assisting in onboarding new staff members.
**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred, particularly in a medical setting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare providers.
- Proficient in clerical tasks with a keen attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with front desk operations and patient management systems is advantageous.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a calm demeanor under pressure.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
