**Medical Office Administrator for Family Medicine Practice**
- Barrie East Family Medicine is looking for an experienced full time medical office

administrator for a busy family practice consisting of 4 full time physicians and a nurse

practitioner.

**Skills and Requirements**:

- Medical Secretary Diploma/Certificate
- Experience in family medicine is an asset
- Strong computer skills and previous experience with EMR system (Accuro)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize while working within a busy fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer service, communication and organizational skills with the ability to

work independently as well as a team member
- Strong written and oral communications skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality

**Responsibilities**:

- Needed for 30 to 40 hour work week
- Schedule/rebook/cancelling appointments, coordinate schedules to accommodate

appointment vacancies or urgent appointments and initial triaging of patients
- Collect demographic information from patients
- Answer telephones with proper protocol and respond to patient inquiries
- Assure all communications and transactions with patients and visitors are conducted in

a mature, calm, sensitive and respectful manner.
- Utilizing electronic health record system to enter, retrieve and document patient

information, clinical tasks and communications accurately and efficiently.
- Perform general administrative tasks such as word processing, scanning, copying, faxing

and mailing
- Provide backup coverage for other administrative assistants within the clinic as required
- Responsible for checking patients in at their appointment
- Stocking/cleaning of examination rooms and kitchen, removal of garbage
- Responsible for third party billing/basic accounting/book keeping and collecting

payments
- Other duties as required

**Salary and Benefits**:

- The pay range we’re offering is $18-22/hour with benefits depending on years of

experience
