Coordinator, Communications & Promotions

**Responsibilities**:

- Update and maintain the current contact database of Canadian creators and traditional media.
- Write and share media alerts, screening information, and other notices to Canadian press.
- Manage Elevation Pictures social media channels.
- Update the press site with stills, clips, trailers, and other film materials.
- Book press screenings, and share and track press screening links.
- Book, strategize, and work with our promotional agency to execute promotional screening programs.
- Create and disseminate Elevation's weekly newsletter.
- Work with our promotional agency to ship press mailers & promo items.
- Track our films throughout award season including nominations and wins internally and across social media.
- Work with designers to create custom assets for events, screenings, and social media.
- Engage creators for paid and organic content and strive for unique concepts.
- Assist in developing publicity strategy for all titles ensuring media coverage for both national and local print and broadcast media, & reviews across Canada.
- Support team for special events and awards, which include, but are not limited to, TIFF, CSAs, TFCAs, etc.
- Assist in the planning and execution of Canadian press days.
- Assist with department administration as needed. Review, process invoices, etc.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years of previous communications experience, preferably in the entertainment industry
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a related field
- Knowledge of MS Office, Google Suite, and Zoom. Knowledge of MailChimp would be an asset but not essential.
- Knowledge and experience using various social media platforms, Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok.
- Strong interest in current events, trends, films, television, pop culture, and social media
- Must be reliable, enthusiastic, and have the ability to work independently.
- Someone who pays close attention to detail and is able to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel.
- Must be able to work well under time constraints in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work in the office a minimum of 3 days a week and the willing to work flexible hours, including overtime during the week and on weekends, when necessary.
