Teddy's was founded in 1980 and has been an institution in Oshawa for over 45 years. We grind our beef in-house, slow cook our meats overnight and make our pies in-house. Our company employs over 80 people with an incredible management team with a philosophy of treating staff with respect, and caring for others. We have very low turnover and foster a family-like environment.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
**Duties**:
- Develop and create innovative menus in line with culinary trends and company standards
- Manage food preparation, production, and presentation
- Ensure high-quality food is prepared and served according to health and safety regulations
- Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to maintain high performance levels
- Collaborate with kitchen management to plan and execute special events or themed nights
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
WHAT TO EXPECT.
For this position, you will be working 50 hours per week with two weeks off per year. You will receive two days off a week and a 45-minute break.
Our goal is to innovate our brand and create a culinary experience that will draw in a new customer base while maintaining the integrity of our current menu and enhancing food quality, by creating a fresh-only program if you are looking for a challenge with growth potential and enhancing brand quality on a legacy restaurant doing 5+mil a year in sales.
COMPENSATION:
For this position you will earn a 60,000 base salary, in addition to tips 2-5$ an hour, A fully paid benefits program offering great family coverage as well.
Additional bonuses may be earned for performance and driving more sales.
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
