**Job Description**:
The Manager of Accounts Payable will be responsible for managing AP accounting functions, including maintenance of General Ledger accounts ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all functions. Resolving common and complex AP errors or problems. A part of the daily duties will consist of developing, implementing, automating, and maintaining systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
- Manage Accounts Payable staff, including quarterly feedback reviews, goal setting and time off requests
- Supervise, coach, and mentor the Accounts Payable staff, and ensure all system and process training is kept up to date
- Strive to automate manual AP processes
- Conduct advanced financial analysis
- Oversee vendor relations, and internal staff communications
- Oversee routine department activities, invoice approvals, cash forecast, and check/ACH disbursement,
- Prepare/review month-end AP close processes, including account analysis, reconciliations and review monthly accruals
- Ensure accurate and timely workflow of AP, review and approve recurring payments,
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of policies and authorizations, as well as the impact of timely approvals and budgets, while educating cross-functional stakeholders
- Develop, implement and maintain systems, procedures and policies to ensure timely and efficient workflow and consistency
- Facilitate 1099- NEC, 1099-MISC process and IRS electronic submission
- Perform diligence on unclaimed property when needed
- Compliance with all governmental and vendor requirements including SOX
- Respond to internal / external customer or vendor requests and inquiries
- Examine, audit for compliance of procedures and/or evaluates subordinate's work product for accuracy and completeness
- Establish new internal policies and procedures to increase productivity and efficiencies

Qualifications:

- Moderate/advance knowledge of account payable concepts and GAAP
- Proficient knowledge of Excel; proficient in other Microsoft Office programs
- Experience with Concur reimbursement systems
- Strong organizational, time management skills with the ability to multi-task
- Purchase Order management experience
- AP experience for multi-entity organization preferred
- Prior property management experience preferred
- Previous customer service background preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Perform miscellaneous ad-hoc research and reporting and other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree
- Four to six years of related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a high-volume environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, time management, analytical skills with the ability to multi-task
- Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to exercise strict confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide superior customer service and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external parties
- Ability to multi-task and work autonomously, or with a team
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of 1099 reporting and electronic submission
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to effectively supervise and provide coaching to accounts payable personnel
