Reporting to the Controller, the Manager, Accounts Payable is responsible for all aspects of the accounts payable function and will play an essential role in, ensuring efficient processes of the accounts payable department and managing vendor relationships.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable team, including managing and reviewing workflows, invoice processing, vendor management and handling internal and external queries
- Responsible for the accuracy of data used by the company’s general ledger
- Responsible for various payment requisitions, including cheque, EFT, wire transfers, and banking activities
- Manage the performance of the Accounts Payable team by providing timely feedback and ongoing coaching
- Collaborate with other internal departments to establish and maintain effective accounts payable procedures
- Create, update, and roll out Accounts Payable and Expense processing training organization wide
- Initiate, lead and manage operational improvements to enhance internal processes
- Develop, maintain, and recommend changes to financial and operational controls to support financial reporting and reduced operational risk. Ensure up-to-date policies and procedures manuals are established and maintained
- Manage preparations of year end audit as it relates to AP (overseeing walkthroughs, responding to questions and coordinating sample collection etc.)
- Manage HST reporting for the operating income producing locations
- Manage, monitor, forecast and report the cash balances and cash flow analysis
- Assist with the acquisitions team on purchases and disposals of assets
- Analyze data and information to provide financial performance insights and recommendations for the consolidated business financial statements.
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**
- Relevant University degree in accounting/business
- Professional designation CPA or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 5+ years progressive experience in accounting/finance department including advanced knowledge of accounts payable best practices, procedures and internal controls
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Established commitment to high professional ethical standards
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, adept in building cross-functional relationships to drive results
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to make decisions to move forward
- Possesses the ability to be a key driver in implementing changes
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with mínimal supervision
- Proven ability to organize, plan and manage multiple priorities and projects under tight deadlines
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency in Power BI is an asset
- QuickBooks online experience is considered an asset
- Knowledge of budget management, financial controls, financial planning principles and related functions such as accounts receivables and expense compliance is an asset
