Are you an organized and detail-oriented professional looking to thrive in a dynamic work environment? We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to become an integral part of our Halifax office team.

M&R Engineering, a member of BPA, is a mechanical and electrical consulting engineering firm. For over 50 years, we have supplied mechanical and electrical systems design and supervisory services, sustainability consulting, energy auditing, commissioning, and energy modeling.

**Responsibilities**:

- Format & update Word documents (Specifications)
- Stamp and combine Word/PDF documents (Shop Drawings)
- Incoming/outgoing digital files (includes updating Project trackers and Job Logs)
- Greeting guests in person, on the phone, and directing calls
- Incoming/outgoing mail/parcels
- Making travel arrangements - car/hotels
- Boardroom bookings and maintenance
- Monitor the arrival and departure of clients & staff
- Order office supplies, meeting lunches, cleaning supplies, etc
- Maintaining a highly professional demeanor with an emphasis on client service
- Other related reception and office administration duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Advanced knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- College diploma in a business-related or office management course
- Background in formatting and preparing technical documents.
- Experience with engineering consulting firms (an asset)
- Motivated self-starter with a willingness to take on improvement initiatives.
- Experience with PDF Exchange and Adobe software (an asset)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, organization, and time management skills

**What you can expect**:

- Full-time, Temporary (Maternity Leave), 11-17 months duration,
- Possibiltiy of extension based on business needs and performance.
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, 37.5 hours/week.
- Dress Code is business professional.
- Starting salary based on experience.

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
