**The Role**:
Hi, I'm Jacqueline Imbrongo, and I'm currently the Director of Product Development at Mejuri, Looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our growing Quality Team.

Mejuri is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager who will lead and oversee activities in support of delivering the best product quality experience to Mejuri customers. This role will collaborate with the Product Development, Design, Merchandising, Purchasing & Planning, and Customer Experience functions, to establish product quality standards and ensure ongoing compliance by our third-party manufacturers. This role is responsible for overseeing all incoming product quality assurance activities in our Toronto Fulfillment center. You will be responsible for implementing QC inspection standards and processes for product shipments, defining and supervising third-party product testing, conducting manufacturer quality audits, analyzing inbound and post-purchase defect data, leading root-cause analysis with manufacturers, and preparing and presenting regular quality reporting. In addition, you will build strong relationships with manufacturing partners to continuously improve quality and develop internal technical capabilities to grow the Quality function at Mejuri.

**What You'll Do**:

- Be the senior quality expert in the Toronto fulfillment center and make borderline quality calls
- Lead and oversee incoming inspection operations at the Toronto Fulfillment Center
- Establish incoming inspection protocols and manage productivity, capacity and staffing needs
- Help establish appropriate quality standards for Mejuri
- Enforce quality requirements and inspection standards for manufactured jewelry, as well as evaluate diamonds, coloured stones, and pearls to ensure that all quality standards are met
- As part of the product development process, define and execute efficient verification and validation plans for new and multi-sourcing projects
- Establish and oversee third-party vendors in conducting supplier audits, pre-shipment product testing, as well as quality inspections at supplier sites
- Identify manufacturing defect trends; work with Product Development team recommending solutions and product improvements
- Assess, report, and document supplier production and quality issues and work with the suppliers to implement corrective actions
- Work closely with suppliers and the Product Development team to understand and resolve technical challenges
- Participate in virtual product quality reviews with supplier and Product Development team
- Prepare monthly defect analysis reports that identify root causes and corrective action plans to share back with cross-functional teams
- Lead and/or assist on ad hoc projects as needed

**What You'll Bring To The Team**:

- 8 + years of Quality Assurance experience in the jewelry industry
- Experience with jewelry manufacturing processes is required
- Experience in jewelry inspection, construction, and repair is required
- Technical knowledge of jewelry raw materials, castings, and findings is required
- Technical knowledge of gemstones, diamonds, silver, gold, and titanium is required
- Knowledge and experience of electroplating is a distinct asset
- Practical knowledge of testing equipment is required
- Proficiency in data analysis, statistics and tolerancing is required
- International experience with global suppliers is required
- GIA certification is an asset
- CAD proficiency is an asset
- Engineering degree is an asset
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Strong analytical and root-cause analysis skills are required
- Self-motivated and dependable
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Refined communication and presentation skills
- People leadership skills
- Ability to work on site at the Toronto Fulfillment Center and travel to New York and suppliers as required
