Job Description:
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
- Adapting instructional techniques to a wide variety of learning needs and degree of familiarity with computer systems. Assessing learning needs for a broad range of learners across the organization
- Researching and developing learning content which supports the adoption of Epic.Delivering learning in a variety of modes, including classroom training, one on one, and e-learning
- Develop, maintain, and present training materials including comprehensive manuals or tip sheets for use by users.
- Utilizing a learning management system to publish, promote and track learning events and activities
- Working with teams to help them identify and address learning needs and improve team effectiveness
- Offering team-based Epic training sessions, tailored to the needs of the group
- Identifying and implementing methods of evaluating learning to demonstrate measurable impact
- Identify new and emerging practices in learning and development
- Maintain and improve knowledge of related computer systems and other work-related duties by attending courses, seminars, and in-service training.
- Demonstrate leadership and excellence by actively participating in user groups. Share best practices with colleagues in other hospitals. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current hospital policies, practices, and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation for urgent after-hours support
- Other related duties as requested
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Criminal Record Check (Essential)
- College in a related discipline (Essential)
- University Degree in a relevant field, Graduate certificate in Digital Health or similar program (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant adult teaching experience (Essential)
- A minimum of 1 year experience working within a healthcare environment (preferred)
- Sound understanding of human performance, adult learning principles, organizational development, instructional systems design and curriculum development (Essential)
- Strong communication and project management skills (Essential)
- Deal effectively with internal and external customers (Essential)
- Familiar with current trends in the learning field (Essential)
- Proven facilitation and presentation experience (Essential)
- A team player who can work collaboratively but is able to work independently (Essential)
- Take steps to ensure timely completion of tasks by adjusting priorities as required (Essential)
- Comprehensively use computer technology and equipment (Essential)
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products (Essential)
- Bilingualism (French / English) (preferred)
