Responsibilities:

Plan Development: Collaborate with the Director of Student Success to create and implement personalized Elmwood Success Plans tailored to each student's unique needs and goals.

Individualized Support: Provide one-on-one coaching to students, focusing on developing executive functioning skills, personalized learning strategies, and tools that enhance academic performance and personal growth.

Student Empowerment: Engage with students in a way that leaves them feeling confident, motivated, and unstoppable in their academic pursuits.

Collaboration: Work closely with families, teachers, and staff across all divisions to ensure a holistic approach to each student’s success. Facilitate regular communication and meetings to align on student progress and needs.

Inclusive Practices: Apply a deep understanding of special education and inclusive practices to support all Elmwood students.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education, Inclusive Education, Educational Psychology, or a related field.

Experience in academic coaching, with a strong focus on executive functioning and learning strategies.

Proven ability to work effectively with students with diverse learning needs.

Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.

Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with families, educators, and administrators.

Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) program is a significant asset.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A passion for student success and a commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and empowering learning environment.
