**JOB PURPOSE**

This position acts as a resource across the organization, supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee experience and various projects. The position works closely with all the departments in the organization and the P&C team.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

**1. Key Responsibilities: Recruitment and On/Offboarding**
- Works with hiring managers supporting full cycle recruitment including facilitating the hiring requisition meetings and collaborating with Job evaluation committee members from P&C.
- Collaborates with Marketing and Communications for job postings.
- Assist hiring managers with scheduling of interviews and reference checks.
- Onboards and supports new employees joining the organization.
- Ensure the departure procedures are followed for employees leaving the organization.

**2. Key Responsibilities: Employee Experience**
- Create and distribute offer letters and all relevant documents.
- Responds to questions and concerns from managers and staff.
- Assists with benefits administration and inquiries.
- Support administration work within the P&C team

**3. Key Responsibilities: Policy, Process and Projects**
- Assists in development and maintenance of job descriptions
- Responsible for data entry and maintenance of HRIS system (ADP Workforce_
- Collaborates with payroll to ensure accuracy in information.

**4. Key Responsibilities: Administration and Reporting**
- Works closely with payroll to ensure full and complete records for employees and responding to questions
- Prepares reports and provides management information leveraging systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now)
- Assists with data entry of invoices into payables system

**General**
- Participates in project work with Finance, People & Culture, and other cross-functional teams
- May participate in community engagement or fundraising activities
- Performs other duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the job

**QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS**

**Education**:

- Two years’ diploma or certificate in recruitment or HR

**Experience**:

- Three years’ experience in recruitment/HR
- Experience with HRIS/human capital systems - ADP Workforce Now preferred.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in use of an applicant tracking system and effective recruitment practices
- Accurate data entry skills, attention to detail and able to handle processing high volumes
- Sound organizational skills. Proven ability to manage multiple activities and meet deadlines
- Ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external
- Good communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, demonstrates a customer/employee focus.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- While the majority of this work may be performed at any location, Burnaby is the preferred location.

**The Head office of United Way British Columbia is located in Burnaby and it is a two story building with parking, elevator and gender neutral washroom access. UWBC has a remote and hybrid working model for staff which is position dependent.**

This is a bargaining unit role with CUPE 1760. This position is a pay grade 29 which is $58, 815.78annually if you are located in the Lower Mainland & Fraser Valley Region and its $53,166.70 if located in any other BC regions outside of Lower Mainland & Fraser Valley Region.
