**Manager of People & Culture**

**We are looking for a Manager of People and Culture**

**This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. 35 hours per week.**

Director will be responsible for all Human Resources functions related to recruitment, compensation strategies, and group benefits.

The Manager will report to the Executive Director.

The Manager will work collaboratively with the Leadership Team and contribute to organizational decision making.

**HR & Organizational Culture**:

- Enhance the company’s culture through regular team outreach as a support partner
- Maintain personnel files in line with all relevant legislation with MCFD guidelines, MCFD Hub, CARF accreditation guidelines, Employment Standards, and any other related legislation.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and facilitation support to Managers and Senior Leaders performance management or termination needs, notably those that may be of high sensitivity or high risk.
- Identify and act on opportunities for improvement in approach, practices, processes, programs, policies, SOP’s, HR materials, etc. to ensure HR Operations is managed in the most relevant, efficient, and effective manner.
- Collect, analyze statistical data, metrics, trends and reports.
- Support in the administration and implementation of employee performance appraisals.
- Support, develop and enhance the team’s overall training and development programs.

**Recruitment & Retention**:

- Work with leadership to forecast hiring needs and manage the company applicant tracking system. On-going management of recruitment budget & strategy.
- Frequent analysis on turnover metrics within the organization.
- Manage and support the organizations recruitment brand through attending hiring fairs and various networking opportunities.
- Develop, manage, and administer employee job descriptions.
- Support activities related to recruiting, hiring, onboarding and training. Conduct, evaluate and support throughout the interview process

**Payroll & Benefits**:

- Manage job offers and onboarding process.
- Responsible for managing the employee termination and transfer processes.
- Familiar with ADP’s WorkforceNow Payroll and Employee system would be an asset. Systems and documentation management.
- Assist with payroll processing and resolving any payroll issues.
- Educate employees on group benefits programs.
- Evaluate compensation and benefits packages on an annual basis with Senior Team to ensure they are competitive and attracting/retaining talent.

**Employee Health & Safety**:

- Identify and mitigate any potential risk, regularly keep up to date with any regulatory changes and updates nationally.
- Manages relationships with BC Human Rights Code, PIPA BC, WorkSafeBC, Service Canada, BC Employment Standards, etc.
- Support the execution and implementation of health and safety policies across the network and any job sites.
- Develop and provide the relevant resources and tools to assist in employee development.

**Experience and Qualifications**
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration is required or a combination of 3+ years of education and experience.
- Experienced in various functions of HR, with a strong focus on employee relations, and performance management.
- Have a strong understanding of relevant employment legislation and laws.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office and HR Systems.

- Results-oriented professional with a high degree of initiative and autonomy.
- Open-minded, enthusiastic, and must possess a positive attitude.
- Proven experience handling highly confidential and special information, including sensitive, strategic and organizational issues.
- Effective and clear oral, written, listening and telephone communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate HR policies, procedures and requirements and audit activities to ensure compliance.
- Experience with Sharepoint, sharing documents, and use of Office 365 including Teams.
- Strong computer skills (e.g. Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.). Familiarity with ADP’s WorkforceNow Payroll System.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation,
- Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance (Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General) and maintenance of clearance requirements during the course of employment.
- Full Covid vaccination required.

**Salary and Benefits**:
Competitive salary depending on experience - Range $37.00 - $40.00 per hour
