**Requirements**

- Experience in bookkeeping (basic) and record keeping.
- Basic knowledge of accounting systems, budgets, and internal controls.

- Able to write simple correspondence, including memos, letters, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- Must possess a high level of moral judgment for handling confidential information and monetary transactions.
- Able to perform moderate to complex account reconciliations.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners, and government agencies.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- First Aid skills and/or certificates are considered assets.

**Job Duties**
- Supply PO# and raise PO in Navision, follow up approval, receive packing slips (approved by relevant Manager) and receive in Navision once PO approved by relevant Manager - all ordering of maintenance and plant consumables approved by Managers.
- Assist in generating work orders for planned and unplanned maintenance on equipment.
- Monitor expenditure against budgets on a weekly or more frequent basis when required and notify Plant Manager if the budget is within 5% of being fully expended.
- Oils, chemicals, tooling consumables - weekly in plant reviews on inventory and order when minimum is reached, or when prompted by a relevant Manager.
- Order and track safety inventory on a regular basis and order when minimums are reached. Review different types of PPE in order to improve safety and control costs.
- Month end expenditure reports (FA & SP & Expenses) - review all over expenditure, investigate, explain and where possible introduce CA’s. Run jet reports as required.
- Maintaining and updating all training files and training matrix with all records and notifying Plant Manager when certifications are about to expire.
- Maintaining all charts, weekly and monthly, and posting in plant and in Plant Manager’s office.
- Scheduling workplace inspections monthly, with involvement of all the Managers on a roster basis and participating personally every 2nd month.
- Attaining JHSC Certification 2 Level and being responsible as an employer representative - ERT, drills, SOP sign offs, machine updates (update LOTO procedure with Maintenance Supervisor), condition reports, work refusals, etc.
- Calling, chairing, recording and posting all bi-monthly JHSC meetings.
- Create sales variance reports weekly.
- Assist with month end closing.
- Cross trained on payroll, production and shipping duties.
- Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its business partners.
