Administrative Security Specialist

As a Security Admin Professional with Niagara Security, you are to support the technical logistics of our client’s operation. Security Admin Professionals report to their regulated post Monday to Friday, a minimum of 15 minutes before their assigned shift times and complete numerous tasks (detailed below). You are responsible for welcoming guests and clients on the phone and in person, working alongside and reporting to your client service manager and our client to coordinate the flow of traffic in regard to their security performance, and the overall performance of the company.
Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):
- Guard must be at the desk
- prior to the arrival of general staff
- Arriving to site on time, to disarm the facility alarm panels.
- Monitor surveillance equipment.
- Identify, monitor, and report security issues.
- Learn security system and allow traffic to flow in and out from the facility.
- Patrol facility and its property to identify any risks to safety and security.
- Respond to emergencies and alarms in a timely and effective manner.
- Conduct interior and exterior access point and lock checks.
- Control and document access of persons entering/exiting the facility.
- Reviewing requested security footage.
- Programming access cards.
- Responding in a polite and professional manner to all requests regarding entry to the facility.
- Basic receptionist duties - e.g., greeting visitors and accepting deliveries.
While performing the responsibilities of the Security Administrator job, the employee is required to be on site prior to the arrival of general staff and sit for extended periods of time. Walking, climbing stairs, standing, and moving items up to 25lbs are occasionally required. The employee must wear the required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) to complete a part of their job functions in the operating areas. The employee is required to follow PPE requirements based on regulatory, compliance and operational needs of the client.
Skills & Qualifications
- A valid First Aid and CPR Level-C certificate.
- A valid driver's license (Full G license).
- Have a clear criminal background and driving record.
- Be eligible to work in Canada.
- Minimum 1 year Security experience.
- Minimum 1 Year experience in a management or supervisory role.
- Administration Experience is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Must be fluent in the English Language (Writing, Typing and Printing).
- Must complete company orientation and required training courses prior to start date.
You will have access to free on-site parking during shift hours and will be responsible for showing up to all of your assigned shifts, on time, and in full uniform, **without exception**.
Shift: Monday to Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm or 5:30am - 1:30pm
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
