**Title**: Production Coordinator
**Location**: Beamsville, ON
The Production Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring that manufacturing operations are efficient, cost-effective, and meet the highest quality standards. This role involves coordinating the production team to optimize workflows, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain accurate production records.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- **Production Planning & Scheduling**:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency.
- Coordinate with the supply chain and procurement teams to ensure materials availability.
- Monitor and adjust production schedules in response to changing priorities or unforeseen issues.
- **Team Leadership & Development**:
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of production operators.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- **Quality Assurance**:
- Ensure that all products meet the company's quality standards and customer specifications.
- Collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to address any quality issues or non-conformances.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce defect rates.
- **Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement**:
- Identify areas for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and lower costs.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and other best practices.
- Monitor and analyze production data to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- **Health, Safety & Compliance**:
- Ensure that all production activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety and conduct regular safety audits and training.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and standards.
- **Cost Management**:
- Monitor and control production costs, including labor, materials, and overhead.
- Develop and manage the production budget, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or safety.
- **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)**:
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement meaningful production KPIs.
- Once established, work towards achieving and maintaining agreed-upon KPI targets.
- Continuously monitor and report on KPI progress, suggesting improvements as needed.
- **Production Administration**:
- Oversee the accurate and timely closure of work orders.
- Ensure proper inventory consumption tracking for work orders.
- Maintain and review production documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies in production data.
**Education and Qualifications**
- Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in a job shop or custom manufacturing is preferred
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality management systems.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
