**What you will do**:
Reporting to the Associate Director, Communications, the Manager, Executive and EDIB communications will lead and collaborate on communications tasks and activities that support Humber’s president; vice-president, Inclusion and Belonging; and college-wide Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB) initiatives. The Manager of Executive and EDIB communications works to ensure that executive and EDIB communications materials and activities support the college’s values, brand and strategic priorities.

**Key roles and responsibilities** of t**he Manager, Executive, and EDIB Communications** will include**:
**S**upport, contribute, and be a resource to Humber’s president’s communications and public relations strategy and activities** by**:

- Working with the President and CEO to ensure their authentic voice is clear in communications and that presidential priorities shape the writing, editing, and producing of materials, including but not limited to: speeches, speaking points, scripts, key messages, backgrounders, blogs, memos, briefing documents, social media content/posts, media interview preparation and other materials as required
- Identifying and supporting thought leadership activities, such as panels, speaking ops, conferences, media interviews, op-eds, and other recognition opportunities.
- Supporting and contributing to executive-level strategic vision and planning activities
- Contributing to ongoing presidential and communications initiatives including, but not limited to, media and interview preparation, issues management, current events commentary, social media support, internal communications, and event planning

**S**upport**,** **contribute and be a resource to the Vice-President**,** Inclusion and Belonging and lead EDIB communications materials and activities by**:

- Writing, editing and producing communications materials based on the vice president’s and the college’s EDIB priorities and activities
- Supporting the vice president’s communications by writing speeches, speaking points, scripts, key messages, backgrounders, blogs, memos, briefing documents, social media content/posts, media interview preparation and other materials
- Developing and implement college-wide EDIB communications plans and initiatives to bring Humber’s EDIB commitment to action through various tactics and events
- Convening EDIB communications working group and hold regular update and planning discussions with key internal stakeholders
- Contributing to updates and revisions of current EDIB plans (i.e. Indigenous Education Plan, EDI Framework and Strategy) and the development of future plans and reports as required
- Leading current event, social commentary and social impact communications and working with departments, Faculties and working groups to ensure EDIB values and messages are included in communications that enhance Humber values and culture.
- Recommending and implementing innovative approaches to share Humber’s EDIB success stories, commitment and action to internal and external audiences. Identifying new opportunities to expand Humber’s community and social impact.
- Contributing to college-wide reports and publications (i.e., annual reports) to ensure inclusion of EDIB activities and outcomes.
- Provide executive and EDIB writing, editing, and communications best practices, expertise and support to Faculties and departments across the college
