**Job Details**:
**Position Title**: Manager, English Language and Communications Programming

**Status**: Full-Time Administration

**Faculty**: Faculty of Liberal Arts & Sciences

**Campus/Location**: Primary campus will be Lakeshore, but work may be assigned at other campuses

**Salary**: $93,069 - $139,604

**What you will do**:

- Lastly, they will manage the budget for the programs within their portfolio and support the overall Department of English budget development process.

**What you bring to the role**:
**Education**:
Graduate degree in a field relevant to the portfolio.
TESL certification required. Ontario Certified English Language Teacher designation preferred.

**Experience and Skills**:

- Minimum of five years of relevant practical experience in an academic environment
- Experience working with students as a TESL accredited professional
- Knowledge of current educational trends and challenges facing postsecondary institutions as it relates to writing and communications programs and courses
- Demonstrated ability communicating and working effectively with diverse groups of students, faculty and support staff and creating spaces of belonging that are equitable and inclusive
- Demonstrated leadership capacity and ability to work cooperatively with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal skills that support effective team building and conflict resolution
- Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills that support the timely, efficient, and effective completion of tasks and projects
- Ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent and competing initiatives and priorities
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent budget management skills to ensure fiscal responsibility
- Ability to cultivate a culture of equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging in efforts to support a diverse population in a post-secondary environment

The following would be considered strong assets:

- Prior post-secondary leadership experience
- Prior post-secondary teaching and course development experience
- Post-secondary program development and program review experience
- A commitment to experiential learning
- Community or industry-based research or other engagement related to English language and communications
