POSITION Business Relationship Manager & Mortgage Underwriter (BRM)

LOCATION Edmonton, Alberta

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leverage KV’s network and capabilities in the lending space to collaborate with the KV team to grow the pipeline of residential mortgage opportunities, including cultivating and strengthening relationships with builders and industry partners;
- Negotiate favorable terms with lenders on behalf of clients, securing competitive rates and optimal mortgage packages;
- Deliver the highest level of customer service to all parties associated with each mortgage transaction;
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry regulations, market trends, and underwriting standards; and
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, relevant industry legislations and mortgage agent / brokerage licensing.

YOUR CAPABILITIES AND CREDENTIALS
- Completion of a post-secondary degree or equivalent;
- Must hold a current mortgage broker license;
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the mortgage industry (residential mortgage underwriting experience is strongly preferred);
- Strong working knowledge of residential mortgage underwriting, risk management, and of real estate market/industry trends;
- Ability to find creative mortgage solutions in a competitive market landscape;
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills in the context of mortgage financing;
- Ability to clearly communicate, maintain successful relationships, negotiate and navigate difficult situations with respect and understanding;
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment; and
- Results driven mindset with a focus on exceptional customer service, strong team collaboration and sound credit decisioning.

COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

Fixed salary, with eligibility for performance-based bonuses
