| About the role

The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for maintaining Payment Canada’s offices, space planning and providing exceptional service to our employee base. The Facilities Coordinator is also responsible for the management of ongoing facility projects, oversees day-to-day facilities requirements and manages the entire facilities budget.

This is a temporary position for a 14 month term.

|What you’ll do

**Responsibilities of the Facilities Coordinator include**:

- Contribute to strategic planning by evaluating and projecting future facility needs and proposing options to achieve them;
- Ensure that all service requests are addressed in a timely and efficient manner;
- Providing regular facility updates and reporting to a broad range of audiences;
- Leveraging best practices and industry trends;
- Premises and furnishings cleaning and maintenance programs;
- Responding to emergency maintenance requests as required, and troubleshooting issues to determine cause and solution;
- Managing facilities projects;
- Coordinating office accommodations, eg ergonomics in collaboration with the People Team;
- Coordinate space allocation among departments;
- Coordinate moves/adds/changes;
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety, environment and risk management policies and procedures;
- Maintaining the Workplace Management Tool (ENVOY).

|Minimum Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in business, facilities management, property management, project management or related field;
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in facility, property, construction and project management;
- A minimum of three (3) years of interpreting, understanding and reviewing contracts and leases combined with demonstrated experience with invoicing and overseeing budgets;
- Excellent project management, time management and organizational skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; ability to respond to time sensitive issues, frequently changing priorities and competing deadlines;
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations at both the provincial and federal level (i.e. Ontario Building Code, Canada Labour Code);
- Proficient it reading drawings, plans and specifications;
- Knowledge of best practices related to facilities management and space planning;
- Ability to travel between the Ottawa and Toronto area;
- Government of Canada Level II Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain.

|Preferred Qualifications
- Facilities Management Professional or Project Management Professional designations are considered an asset;
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.

|Salary Range
- Based on qualifications and experience: $65,026 and $81,283.
