**Purpose**:
The Coordinator, Donor Relations and Stewardship role supports the development of a broad range of donor engagement materials to foster long-term, meaningful relationships between Schulich and our donors to support donor and prospect cultivation and solicitation, donor stewardship and alumni engagement. In addition, the role participates in the development of administrative and operational procedures specific to each program and offer general fundraising support and assistance related to major gift, gift planning and corporate engagement activities undertaken by the Office of Advancement and Alumni Relations, Schulich School of Business.

**Education**:
University degree required, or an equivalent of 4 years recent experience (defined as within the last five years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below. Recent donor relations and donor engagement experience.

**Experience**:
One year practical related experience working with donors or within a fundraising environments, preferably in a University setting.

**Skills**:
Effective oral and written communication skills and a high level of proficiency in English grammar, spelling and punctuation are essential. Ability to adapt writing styles for various purposes for different communication requirements and for a variety of audiences. Ability to synthesize concepts and ideas into clear, concise and compelling written and designed documents. Demonstrated ability in storytelling and persuasive writing.
Tact and diplomacy skills in addition to awareness and ability to work within an environment that requires confidentiality.
Intermediate MS Office, and comfort working with design tools such as Canva
Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment but to also work independently and exercise good judgment.
Ability to be thorough, accurate, and exercise a high level of attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively under pressure of high volume and meet daily deadlines.
Professional and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of individuals. Advanced research, fact-checking, skills. Other:
Knowledge of public relations and/or marketing principles and techniques.
Understanding of fundraising, the fundraising cycle and donor-centric fundraising
Knowledge of HTML principles and photo manipulation software are assets.
