- The Canadian Personal Banking Vendor Management Office is responsible for best in class vendor management oversight and governance for vendor engagements within Canadian Personal Banking, Cards, RESUL as well as a number of critical enterprise vendor relationships that we manage at the Enterprise level. Our responsibilities include robust assessment of vendor risks, adherence to regulatory/compliance policies and controls, close monitoring of performance and payments, and on going vendor relationship management.
- The CPB VMO Vendor Performance Team supports a diverse group of vendor management professionals for an array of vendors, delivering a suite of services, including metric and service level modeling, performance reporting and financial analysis while supporting contract negotiations and continuous improvement initiatives.
**Job Details**- Reporting to the Senior Manager, Vendor Management, the accountabilities of the Manager, Vendor Performance role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Builds strong and capable teams, with the skills and talent required to succeed in a challenging and rapidly changing environment
- Provides effective day-to-day management, coaching and guidance to a team of colleagues; share and teach best practices
- Act as the leader in administering change management, performance management and the talent pipeline for the development of the team
- Demonstrate and champion thought leadership and innovation by challenging the status quo andpromoting new concepts and ideas to demonstrate the value of our team and our vendorrelationships
- Drive the development and testing of key performance measures for vendors managed by the CPB Vendor Management team
- Lead the team in the development, maintenance, accurate and timely delivery of internal and vendor (external) Service Level Agreement (SLA) scorecards.
- Act as a Performance Management and Measurement SME incorporating insights and value add concepts into tenured relationships as well as help transition new vendors into this model.
- Promote collaboration amongst multiple Vendor Management and Sourcing partner groups and drive standardization in vendor performance practices.
- Work with internal and external partners to facilitate improved data extracts / data inflows to support SLA development and calculation, invoice validation, process improvements, cost efficiency/improvement and related analysis.
- Continuously monitor vendor performance against contractual objectives and work with the Contract, Relationship, Risk and Line of Business Managers in escalating issues related to vendor performance.
- Proactively identify opportunities for improvement through financial and performance analysis.
- Lead the team in creating and promoting efficient processes in the development and maintenance of vendor reporting within established contractual guidelines, and to continuously identify opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct independent research as it pertains to vendor reporting, metrics and related analysis and provides recommendations to the Vendor Management Teams and Business Partners.
**Job Requirements**
- Strong business acumen, in addition to well-developed analytical, problem-solving, conceptualization and strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to consolidate a large amount of information into a clear, concise analysis and take initiative to capitalize on opportunities identified therein.
- Strong communicator with excellent oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to work confidently when dealing with senior management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate diplomatically with external vendor partners, project team members, internal business partners and other key stakeholders alike.
- Self-starter able to effectively transition between individual and team-oriented activities in meeting deadlines and deliverables.
- Knowledge of VBA, SAS and/or SQL considered an asset.
- Previous experience within Vendor Management would be considered an asset.
- Previous people management experience considered an asset.
- Knowledge of the fundamental principles and accountabilities of the TD Enterprise Procurement Policy, Vendor Management Policy and Third-Party Risk Management Policy is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of the TD Smart Source tool suite to support all vendor lifecycle activities considered an asset.
