- working alongside the HR Generalist under the guidance of the Director of People & Culture to spearhead all administrative tasks required to capture information required for a staff team of 200.
Specific responsibilitites for this role include:
- Compiling, processing and maintaining information related to personnel activities such as onboarding, staffing, employee notices, union seniority lists, benefit programs administration and performance management.
- Contacting newly hired employees to arrange submission of paperwork and adherence to role and organizational requirements.
- Setting up of new employees in HRIMS and maintainenance of records to reflect personal and employment changes.
- Collaborating with Payroll team regarding any HR related asks.
- Providing answers for frontline employees regarding HR requests (e.g. employment verification letters)
- Assisting with the audit process for HR documentation created by any HR employee prior to delivery of documentation.
.- Well-developed Human Resources/Business Administration skills generally acquired through completion of a Degree or College Diploma in Human resources or Business Administration and/or a minimum of 1-3 years work experience in Human Resource or Business Administration support role.
- General knowledge of Human Resources theories, practices, legislation and resources.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office and HRIMS management (knowledge of AVANTI software is an asset)
- Strong self-organization and self-management skills.
