**Please note this is a part-time position. The role is also hybrid requiring 2 out of 3 in office days**

**Main Responsibilities and Duties**
- Arrange and conduct interviews to determine suitability for the role
- Start files for new hires and complete pre-hire paperwork
- Schedule orientation sessions with nurse educators
- Post updates and maintain the company’s presence on various social media platforms
- Assist in the creation and review of company policies

Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.

**Methods/Equipment/Software Used to Perform the Job**
- Microsoft Office Suite including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Internet research browsers, e.g., Google.
- CHCA’s internal scheduling system
- Navigation of Canadian Health Care Agency’s internal network.
- Social media platforms e.g., Twitter, Facebook etc.
- Office equipment, e.g., telephone, fax machine and photocopier.

**Mental and Physical Tasks**

**Mental**
- Office Assistant functions are carried out in a fast-paced open-concept office environment where there are frequent interruptions and numerous tight deadlines.
- Ability to block out distractions in order to fully concentrate on assigned duties.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external _customers_.

**Physical**
- Some bending, e.g., filing.
- Some lifting, ranging from office supplies (that weigh less than five kilos) to the water dispenser (which weighs approximately 18 kilos).

**Qualifications**

**Technical Requirements**
- 2-3 years recruitment experience.
- Post-Secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
- A background in health care or office administration is an asset.
- Exceptional and proven organization skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute concurrent complex multi-step tasks.
- High degree of computer literacy, including Microsoft office and various social media platforms.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Friendly, calm and service-oriented demeanor.
- A self-starter who is able to work well independently and under pressure.
